Grief Luncheons

 

As of June 2025, Kern Funeral Home Luncheons have been temporarily paused.

We are evaluating our program offerings and working to find more resources for our community.

KERN FUNERAL HOME GRIEF SUPPORT PROGRAM

Kern Funeral Home provides a monthly luncheon for those seeking support and insight following a loss. 

Luncheons are free and open to anyone who would like to attend. They are traditionally held on

the 3rd Wednesday of the month at 12 noon in the Social Room at Kern Funeral Home.

 

The programs range on a wide variety of topics, such as

·         Financial and legal concerns following a death

·         Nutrition and physical activities after a loss

·         Further ways to receive support from friends and family

·         Signs and practices of healthy grief.

 

The monthly Men’s Grief Support meeting is held on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Social Room.

 

The monthly Women’s Grief Support meeting is held on the 2nd Monday of the month at 10:00 AM in the Social Room.

 

These groups are unstructured gatherings where we provide coffee and light snacks. We check in with one another and have productive conversations, all the while connecting with various members of our community.
