Jay was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting, crabbing, shrimping, clam digging and gardening. Annually, Jay enjoyed participating in kids weekends up at Critter Cove in Canada. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Kern Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 2:00 PM. Toward the end of the service, a few fun stories of his life will be shared. Then, we will transition the celebration into the Social Room where food will be served. Jay enjoyed helping others. Whether it’s how to grow the biggest, reddest tomato, the ability to catch more fish or the generosity of his time on the water, please keep his memory alive by passing on the wisdom he may have shared with you.
