Obituary for Dorothy Mae Hartman

Dorothy Mae Loomis Davenport Hartman went to her heavenly home on April 16, 2018. She was born June 10, 1924 in Centralia, WA to Glenn and Ora Loomis. She attended school in Centralia, Concrete and graduated from Mount Vernon High School. She graduated from Northwest Bible Institute in Seattle. She then served as a missionary in Massachusetts with the Assembly of God Church.

Upon returning to the Seattle area, she met and married Ralph Davenport in January, 1951. They made their home in the Ballard area of Seattle. She was employed by and retired from Travelers Insurance. She and Ralph were active in their church, Evangel Temple in Ballard and Shoreline Community Church. Upon retiring, they moved to Desert Hot Springs, CA. Ralph passed away in 2000. Dorothy later met and married Robert Hartman. He passed away in 2011 and Dorothy moved back to the Northwest.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Ora Loomis; brothers, Darrell Loomis, Robert Loomis, Dick Loomis; sister, Ruth Breitenbucher; brothers-in-law, Don Hanson, Jack Breitenbucher, and Larry Hazen. She is survived by sisters, Erma Jean Hedman (Will), Marguerite Reece, Alta Johnson (Walt), Gloria Hazen; stepchildren, Linda Hall (Steven), Carol Smith (Gary), Jan Cheney (Ed) and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Kern Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, April 26, 2018 at 11:00 am, graveside to follow. Memorials can be made to Northwest University, 5520 108th Ave NE, Kirkland, WA 98033.
