Betty Ruth Houser Jr. was a lifelong resident of Skagit County passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at her home with her family by her side. Betty was born at her family home on May 14, 1925 in Blanchard, WA to Myron and Ruth (Schmitt) Bentz. She attended elementary school at Edison and later graduated from Burlington-Edison High School. She loved music and played the piano in a small band called The Bruce Goff Trio at the Perry’s Skyline Dinning Lounge and in the Colonial Room at the Chuckanut Manor in the Piano Bar. Later in life she played at many venues throughout the Skagit Valley. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Hoffman; and her beloved husband, Rex V. Houser Jr. in 2010
